Small Ottoman Tray – Scottish Elm with Purple Resin

Handmade from Scottish elm and purple resin, this simple but elegant small ottoman tray has multiple uses.

The wood, which was sustainably grown, is ‘spalted burr elm’ which has been sliced to create two ‘book-matched’ halves. This technique gives the tray symmetry and a uniquely individual design. The elm has been encapsulated in purple resin and flood coated to achieve a ‘watery’ gloss finish.

The tray has a recessed bottom for strength and it sits on rubber feet for further stability. All exposed wood surfaces have been finished with hard wax oil. 100% UK made.
