Frequently Asked Questions!

It normally takes 4-6 weeks to make a bespoke furniture commission as this involves selecting the right wood for the project and time for design, making and curing (if special materials such as resins are involved in production). We keep in touch throughout the process.

Prices are inclusive of relevant taxes.

For UK and Ireland orders the cost of delivery is quoted at checkout (see our Delivery Policy for further information). We aim to deliver within 2-6 working days. Oversize orders may be delivered using specialist courier services.

We do not at present offer a shipping service to countries outside of the UK and Ireland.

We are sure you will be delighted with your purchase! However returns, exchanges and cancellations are accepted. Please see our Returns Policy for further information.

Bespoke commissions are charged 50% upfront – before materials are selected. The balance is payable upon completion. Bespoke orders are non-refundable.

Furniture pieces are QC checked before they are shipped but as is the nature of handmade furniture, every piece will have its own character due to the natural appearance of the wood selected and the fact that it is handmade. Where resin has been used, it is natural to potentially have minor imperfections such as tiny bubbles. Your piece will not look or feel mass- produced. Each item is a one-off unique piece of furniture which has involved many hours of attention and is only finished when I am satisfied it is ready to leave my workshop.

Resin is often used to enhance the aesthetics of DAMA designed furniture and in our river and lagoon tables, it is an essential material.  Resin is NOT heatproof although it does offer some heat resistance. Therefore avoid placing hot items directly onto the surface. Treat the item as you would a polished wooden surface (use a mat to avoid scratches and rings).

For ongoing maintenance, the occasional use of a product like Liquid Wax Cleaner from Osmo helps to clean and refresh the wood. Any film that forms across a resin surface can be polished off once dry.
