A beautiful piece of Scottish burr elm has been used to create a stunning looking occasional table. The legs are made from the dark heartwood of the Elm tree and the magazine shelf from a lighter stock. All the wood used to make this tray is sustainably grown and sourced from a local sawmill that specialises in supplying hardwoods.
Green and rose-gold resin has been used to complement the burr elm and the result is a table top that carries through the natural swirls of the burr elm into the resin which has similar patterning.
A recessed magazine shelf has been created using individual elm slats.
The table top has been polished and finished with a natural wax oil to give the surface a durable finish.
