Blue ‘River’ Ottoman Tray

A beautiful piece of Scottish Elm has been used to create this piece which can be an ottoman tray or hung as wall art.

The Elm is separated by a ‘river of marine blue resin’ to create a tray that resembles the banks of a clear blue river.

The wood for this item was sourced from a local wood yard and carefully selected to create this one-off piece. It is a blend of traditional and contemporary design that is an original piece unlike anything you will find to grace your home.

The both sides of the base have been ‘flood coated’ with a heat resistant resin to achieve a ‘watery’ glass-like finish.

The tray has a recessed bottom for strength and sits on non-marking rubber feet – giving it further stability. A secure wall fixing is also discretely attached to the underside to allow for wall hanging – the feet act as frame bumpers to protect the wall.

All exposed wood surfaces are coated with natural food-safe wax oil.
